Product Description

The Jr. Ring is tough and long lasting, Great as a Frisbee or a tug toy or flyball training -- soft edges won't hurt gums. Squeaks to your dogs delight. Each Jr. toy is made with 4 layers. 2 layers are made of industrial grade luggage material, 1 layer of plastic coating, and the other layer is made of soft fleece on the outside. All of these layers are sewn together to make one super strong layer of material. Each toy is sewn together with 2 layers of cross stitching and then 2 layers of linear stitching. After the toy is sewn together an additional piece of black trim is added to cover the four rows of stitching. (Owner of 3 LARGE dogs that are VERY heavy chewers!! 110 pound German Shepherd, 85 pound Pit Bull, 60 pound Chocolate Lab Puppy)

I was absolutely shocked to see this product got only 2 stars, so I had to comment.

I do own this product, in fact... at some point I will probably own all of their products. After a lot of research, I picked this size to TRY, but I wanted to clarify for anyone curious.

There are 3 different sizes. 7 inches, 10 inches, and 14 inches. "Tuffy" brand products have a toughness scale, when using the appropriate sized product for your pet. This size is for up to 15 pound dogs! NOT PIT BULLS!

This is one of their weaker products, made for puppies and smaller dogs.

This was my first purchase. I wanted to know the level of interest my dogs would have, as well as an idea of durability before I paid for the larger size.

Again, this is intended for SMALL DOGS.

BUT... if you're curious about it's quality, let me explain this:

7 inch ring: This product is made with 3 layers of material. 1 fleece, and 2 luggage material. It has 5 layers of stitching. This is made for dogs up to 15 pounds.

10 inch ring: This product is made with 5 layers of material, and 7 rows of stitching. Intended for heavy chewers, medium sized.

14 inch ring: This is the toughest product they offer, with 7 layers and 7 rows of stitching. Intended for the toughest chewers, and large dogs!

It is designed for multiple layers of play if your dog does happen to make its way through the first layer. It does NOT have stuffing, which is terrific, and all three of my dogs loved it.

This toy is NOT "indestructable," nor is any product. But as far as it goes, these toys come close. Look at their website to get an idea of the toughness ratings.

This product is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED WHEN USED FOR THE APPROPRIATE SIZE PET!

Our 12 pound Morkie has shredded every "soft" toy that we have given him. Endless stuffed animals have been ripped apart in less than an hour. Gizmo has had this toy for more than 6 months and besides strings on the outer ring he has not even put one hole in it. Great purchase!
VERY TOUGH & WORTH THE MONEY!!

My chihuahua mix loves to tear apart toys, and usually she does so in 1/2 hour. Not this one... it has withstood her chewing, pulling, and attempts to "kill" the toy. Price on Amazon is also cheaper than most stores... the lowest I found was $14. Highly recommended and I will definitely buy more of these toys instead of wasting money on any other dog toy.

UPDATE: Changed rating to "3" because she was able to tear through the outer lining, but has yet to get to the squeaker. We'll see how long it takes for her to totally destroy it...
Tiger Tested.. NOT Pit Bull tested

Alright.. I own 4 American Pit Bull terriers and i am constantly looking for plush type toys that will last. I bought these because their claim is that they are SUPER durable, and have been "Tiger Tested".. and they even have pictures and video footage on their website of Tigers playing with these toys and them lasting.. So I decided I would make the investment of $17.99 for their level 10 (tuffest) toy.. I brought a few home to my dogs and in about 3 minutes one of my dogs had put a hole in it and removed some of the stuffing, and the longest any of them survived was 1hour.. I was super bummed out.. I returned it to the store and got a full money refund.. They may have been tested on Tigers.. but obviously not on Pit Bulls, who will do just about anything to get the sqeakers out. (My Miniature pinscher was also successful at killing this toy in about an hour) I would however recomend this toy to any dog who is alot nicer to their toys then my dogs, or pretty much anyone who does not own the following breeds: Pit Bull, Boxer, Mastiff, Miniature Pinscher, Boston terrier, Jack Russell Terrier, Bulldog, Lab. I would give this toy to my dogs if they were sold for alot cheaper, because the 5 minutes this toy lasted was alot better than the 30seconds most other plush toys last, and well.. my dogs just love the plush toys, so every so often I will get them each one as a treat.

Amazon has awesome prices for these toys.. most stores that carry them (Petco and other Pet Botiques) charge at least $14.99 for them. They do come in different shapes, including aligators, octopus, dinosaurs, ect).. the level 10 toys (the strongest) are only available in the ring and tug staped toys.

if you are experiencing the same toy destroying issue with your dogs, I recomend you get toys made of fire hose, or the "teaser balls"... those seem to last the longest with my dogs.

i hope this info helps
Unsafe for chewers

Purchased one of this company's very expensive toys. Never again. One-year old pups managed to have a hole in it within 30 minutes, and removed the squeaker -- a choking hazard. After repairs, I gave it back to one of my pups, who managed to entirely de-stuff it within minutes. E-mailed the manufacturer to give them feedback, but they weren't interested; they basically said don't let the dog chew on it. How else is a dog to play with a toy? They don't exactly have hands. Keep your pet safe and your wallet fuller and don't buy this absurdly priced dud of a toy.l.;'[]
