My puppy plays with this toy alot (only second to playing with our cats). She's a pikachoo and it is the perfect size for her tiny mouth. While it was smaller than I expected, it seem to be very durable so far. I also like how it came with an extra squeaker. My cats like it too.

WE have purchased this before. It will last a long time. BUY ONLY FOR SMALL DOGS. This product is a potential hazard if given to a dog of inappropriate size. Our little dog loves her "Frog Baby". I really like the way the squeaky is inserted into the toy using a velcro fastener. Therefore, the squeaky is removed to wash the toy and the toy comes with an extra squeaky. Because it is thoughtfully constructed using quality materials this is an excellent product. If you have a small dog they will love it too. Be sure to check out the duck and bear.

My pug, Dudley, has without fail ripped apart every stuffed animal toy we have ever bought him. So what was another for $3 filler to get free Amazon shipping on hair clipper? I figured it would last 5 minutes. It's been 45 days and the Dr. Noys Extra Small Frog is still intact. Dudley treats it like it's his baby. Don't know what the secret is (its small size? minimal stuffing? replaceable squeaker?) but this little thing is gold!

We have a Shih Tzu and she lovers the extra small frog. She chases it and carries it in her mouth and loves to play catch with it. Good cheap entertainment for the dog and it is quite durable. This is the perfect toy for a small dog.

ive had the xtra small duck from kong and have had it over a year and has held up for my mini chi. bought the frog so she could have more toys of such good quality. she now loves it as much as her duck. very well made and very strong. also likes that it comes with an extra squeaker and that you can replace it with ease, but my pup cant get the velcro open on her own.

Had to order 2 more of these, my little longhaired chihuahua Roo loves his frog, he has had the same one since he was 5 months and now he is 4. He has to squeek it several times before going to sleep, and than he usually hides it in our bed! We lost his old one, had to get these! He loves them! We did find his old one, but now he has 3! GREAT PRODUCT! I hope the price stays good just incase I have to order more!

For those people complaining about this toy not holding up, I would ask you how big your dog is!!!!!!! This is not a toy for a dog over 5 pounds or so--it's a tiny toy as pictured and should be given to the appropriate size animal. With that obvious information said, my teacup shih tzu loves these KONG tiny toys, especially the frog. I just ordered two more under emergency circumstances as he dropped it down the grate and I can't get it out at the moment. He's currently searching the house for it and whining. This particular frog, and the other toys like the duck, pig, etc, have lasted over five years. He's had them all since he was born. After I wash them numerous times, I usually try to replace when they get too dingy and worn. He's never managed to destroy one of these, nor has his similar-size brother who is even rougher on them. The squeeky device is very secure, and I have an extra when I lose them or forget where I put them after a wash. I so appreciate a company that makes great, durable toys for tiny dogs.
Dr. Noys' dog toys will last a long time--great investment!

These toys are among the best plush dog toys out there, and we've tried several. I don't think any are truly "indestructible" since there's always a dog somewhere that will defy that claim, but these are well made and worth buying for the majority of dogs. Just be *sure* to buy the size that suits your dog; don't buy one too small that can be swallowed easily! Dr. Noys' toys are great in that they always include an extra squeaker in the pack, and the toy squeaker is easily replaceable in its hidden velcro pouch. (Squeakers are not indestructible; that's why they include an extra. But the advantage here is that they are very secure, and can't be eaten.) You can even buy separate packages of squeakers if your dog is tough on plush toys. Or you can remove the squeaker if it drives you crazy! ;-) In the larger sizes you can replace the squeaker with a tennis ball for active dogs.
Pay attention to the sizes listed: extra-small is really small, best for only the tiniest toy breeds or for small puppies. Medium will work for most dogs, but if your dog is a shredder, loves to destroy plush toys, only get the large sizes. If you have certain breeds, like Staffordshire terriers and bull dogs, then perhaps another toy would be a wiser choice. You know your dog.
So if you're tired of buying so-called "dog toys" that are really glorified baby toys and easily destroyed, try these. Ours have lasted for two years with hard play, only replacing the squeakers. Even better, they're usually included in the Amazon 4-for-3 promotion, so you can get one free if you buy four (smaller sizes)! That way you can test out different designs, or save one for later. Highly recommended! |
Extra Small Means Just That

This toy was tiny (about 1.5 inches tall) and the cat loved it. She is quite aggressive and the toy didn't last, but that has more to do with the cat than the toy.
